The Power of Presence: Self-Care

As a certified teacher of presence life coach, I work with people to help them be in the present moment more, instead of being ruled by thoughts and emotions. This has an array of benefits, as it helps individuals approach whatever they’re dealing with in life from a place that’s less anxious and stressed — and more calm and connected with their deeper selves. From this place, a path often manifests to help people clarify how to proceed in their lives to improve their well being.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

This workshop focuses on sustainable self-care practices to help you improve your mental, physical and emotional health. We’ll also tackle any resistance, negative emotions or self talk that comes up regarding self-care.

Our discussion will focus on sustainable self-care strategies & practices like:

  • The power of your breath
  • Making space
  • Movement and the metabolization of stress
  • Exploring (and possibly redefining) meditation and mindfulness
  • Bodywork
  • Binaural beats
  • The vagus nerve
  • Mantras
  • Listening — to your body, to nature, or even a good Audible book
  • Journaling

WHAT IS A TEACHER OF PRESENCE?

Essentially, it’s all about the practice of presence — which is also referred to as mindfulness, consciousness, or being in the moment. My role as a teacher of presence is to help others learn how to be in presence more often, no matter what their life circumstances may be.

Becoming a Teacher of Presence is a certificate program offered by the Eckhart Tolle School of Awakening. It is a comprehensive program Eckhart offers once every few years, offering deep insights “for those ready to more fully embody presence in their own lives, and also be of greater service to humanity.”
